Ed Vinson has been teaching in a wide variety of capacities in the Northern Virginia area since 2008.  Currently Vinson works as the low brass sectional teacher at James Madison, Langley, Oakton, and Herndon High Schools; Cooper, Longfellow, Kilmer and Thoreau Middle Schools in Fairfax County. Vinson also teaches the low brass masterclass for the summer Vienna Band Camp at Longfellow Middle School.  Vinson's teaching experiences outside of the Northern Virginia area include the University of Arkansas Fort Smith's Summer Brass Camp, the Auburn University Summer Middle School Band Camp, Opelika (AL) High School Marching Band Camp, and Salem (GA) High School Marching Band Camp.

Mr. Vinson maintains a large and dynamic studio of talented area students ranging from beginners through adult.  For the 2019-20 school year Vinson teaches after school lessons at Cooper and Frost Middle schools, Langley and James Madison High Schools.
